Weaver joins three other attorneys leading pretrial proceedings against OpenAI in California
Lesley E. Weaver, a member at Stranch, Jennings & Garvey PLLC, has been appointed as one of four co-lead counsel for plaintiffs in coordinated litigation pending against OpenAI Inc. in California state court.
As co-lead counsel, Weaver and her fellow appointees will coordinate discovery, motion practice and other pretrial activity on behalf of plaintiffs across the coordinated cases.
“I'm honored to work alongside such a talented group of plaintiffs' attorneys in representing the families affected by these cases," Weaver said. "Coordinating our efforts allows us to litigate this matter as efficiently and effectively as possible, and I look forward to the work ahead."
The unified leadership structure follows a court-approved agreement among the plaintiffs' counsel, designed to streamline the proceedings under Judge Ethan P. Schulman. Weaver serves alongside Patrick Ntchobo of Edelson PC; Matthew P. Bergman of the Social Media Victims Law Center; and Rachel Lanier of The Lanier Law Firm P.C.
