Stranch, Jennings & Garvey, PLLC (SJ&G) is pleased to announce that Member Lesley E. Weaver has been named to the 2027 Lawdragon 500 Leading Litigators in America.
Weaver, based in SJ&G's Oakland office, was recognized for her work in consumer, privacy and antitrust litigation.
Now in its fifth edition, the annual guide recognizes the country's leading courtroom advocates. Honorees represent a range of practice areas, including class action, commercial and securities litigation, antitrust and mass torts.
"I am honored to be recognized by Lawdragon alongside so many accomplished advocates," Weaver said. "This recognition reflects the trust our clients place in us and the dedication of the teams working to protect consumers, public entities and the public interest."
Weaver joined SJ&G in early 2026 as a nationally recognized litigator focused on high-stakes cases involving consumers, public entities and the public interest. She has also been appointed co-lead counsel for plaintiffs in possible litigation against OpenAI in California state court.
Previously, Weaver served as co-lead counsel in multidistrict litigation against Facebook that resulted in a $725 million settlement in 2025 — the largest recovery achieved in a privacy class action at the time.
She also served on the plaintiff's steering committee in the Volkswagen "Clean Diesel" litigation, securing more than $10 billion for environmental remediation and $7 billion for consumers.
This is Weaver's most recent Lawdragon recognition. She was previously selected for the Lawdragon 500 Leading Litigators in America in 2026. She has also been named to the publication's 500 Leading Plaintiff Consumer Lawyers and 500 Leading Plaintiff Financial Lawyers guides.
Lawdragon selects its honorees through submissions, independent journalistic research and editorial vetting involving leading members of the nation's trial bar.
