Oct 13, 2026

Stranch, Jennings & Garvey, PLLC (SJ&G) Member Lesley E. Weaver will participate in the 2026 Complex Litigation Ethics Conference scheduled for Oct. 15-16 at UC Law San Francisco.

Weaver will join the conference’s opening panel, “The Ethics of Claims Rates: The Promise of Technology?” on Oct. 15.

The discussion will examine how new technologies can help attorneys improve participation in class-action settlements to ensure class members receive their entitled benefits.

In addition to Weaver, the panel will include:

  • Scott Dodson, UC Law San Francisco professor and author
  • Amy Lake, Rust vice president of operations
  • Alex Lara, founder and CEO of OchoFlow
  • Richard Simmons, president of Analytics Consulting LLC
  • Joshua P. Davis, panel moderator and UC Law San Francisco research professor

Weaver has a comprehensive background representing plaintiffs nationwide in high-stakes class-action lawsuits. She served as co-lead counsel in a multidistrict litigation against Facebook, which returned a $725 million settlement in 2025. She also served on the Plaintiffs’ Steering Committee of the Volkswagen “Clean Diesel” litigation, recovering $10 billion for the environment and $7 billion for consumers.

This is the fifth annual Complex Litigation Ethics Conference, which brings together judges, lawyers and scholars to examine how ethical rules can be applied to multidistrict and class-action litigation.
