Tennessee Retains Stranch, Jennings & Garvey in Lawsuit Against Roblox

Dec 18, 2025

The State of Tennessee is joining a growing list of families and state attorneys general filing lawsuits against the popular online gaming platform Roblox. The state has retained Stranch, Jennings & Garvey (SJ&G) to assist with this complex litigation.

Attorney General Jonathan Skrmetti says the company has violated the Tennessee Consumer Protection Act (TCPA) by deceiving parents and keeping them in the dark to turn a profit on a platform where child predators roam free.

“We are proud to stand with the attorney general in this fight to protect Tennessee families,” SJ&G Founding and Managing Member J. Gerard Stranch IV said. “Roblox has had nearly 20 years to fix these obvious safety flaws. Instead, they have chosen to profit from a system that monetizes the very interactions that put children at risk by ignoring these very serious flaws in the platform.”
