Caleb Harbison joined Stranch, Jennings & Garvey (previously Branstetter, Stranch & Jennings) in 2022 and concentrates his practice in the areas of complex litigation, opioid litigation and personal injury. Prior to joining the firm, he served as a law clerk at the Hughes & Coleman law firm in Nashville, where he took an active role in cases involving health care liability, governmental tort liability and personal injury.

While in law school, Mr. Harbison clerked for the Tenth and Second Judicial District Attorney’s offices in Tennessee. At the Tenth District, he participated in motion drafting and discovery on multiple felony cases involving violent crimes and drug charges. While clerking for the Second Judicial District, Mr. Harbison obtained a limited license to practice law as a student under Tennessee Supreme Court Rule 7. Using this license, Mr. Harbison obtained convictions in two bench trials sitting as first chair, and successfully represented the state in seven hearings.

Mr. Harbison also served as a law clerk for the Hon. Monte Watkins in Davidson County, where he drafted multiple orders for the court, including an en banc order.

Mr. Harbison graduated magna cum laude in 2016 from East Tennessee State University with a bachelor’s degree in human services and earned a master’s degree from Liberty University in 2017. He received his J.D. from Belmont University College of Law in 2022, where he received his certificate in health law and was honored with the Law Student for Justice Award. While obtaining his health law certificate, he took courses covering antitrust litigation, ERISA, employment law and medical malpractice.
